The Ellsworth Antiques Show welcomes George Terbovich

Woodlawn welcomes renown decorator, George Terbovich from Kansas City, Missouri to curate a Designer Showcase for the 2016 Ellsworth Antiques Show at Woodlawn. This year’s Show is being held Thursday, August 18 to Saturday, August 20 and is sponsored by Skinner, Inc and Boston Private Wealth.

According to Woodlawn executive director, Joshua Torrance, “George is a longtime supporter of the Ellsworth Antiques Show and was pleased to be asked to curate our first Designer Showcase.  He will select objects and art from the other dealer booths and create a unique display sure to be a highlight of this year’s Show.”  George’s involvement with the antiques world of Maine spans 25 years. Various projects from coastal Maine to inland areas have solidified the Ellsworth Antiques Show at Woodlawn as an annual resource for his work. In his words, “I value the atmosphere and eclecticism of the Show and always finds a great breadth of antiques from which to select.”

George Terbovich started his career at Hallmark curating an ethnographic gallery at Halls, a specialty store on the Country Club Plaza of Kansas City. That position segued into working in design with architectural firms to redevelop Crown Center, the headquarters for Hallmark in Kansas City. With great success, George opened his design firm in 1980. He has been commissioned for projects all over the world ranging from private residences, yachts, planes, and large-scale events, as well as commercial projects including restaurants, hospitality, and condominiums. George has worked on various national trust projects and is currently restoring a national trust hotel in the Flint Hills region of Kansas.

The Ellsworth Antiques Show at Woodlawn is open Thursday, August 18 and Friday August 19 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, August 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $15 for the Show and a Museum tour or $10 for the Show only.  The festivities begin on with an Opening Night Party and Dinner on Wednesday, August 17 starting at 5 p.m. Special music events are planned on Thursday and Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. Complete details and online ticketing is available at
