In partnership with Mother Nature, Ellsworth Public Library, Star 97.7 FM, and endorsed by the Ellsworth City Recreation Commission, Woodlawn will host a return of the Winter Carnival!

All are welcome at this free community event.
Good fun in the cold for kids of all ages!

Cardboard Sled competition starts at 10:30

Get your teammates and go find a cardboard box or three
ONLY cardboard, tape and glue allowed!
Come see some hilarity as the big kids challenge the hill and their skills.
Check in from 9:30 at the Gift Shop.

Snow shoe races on the trails starting at 12:30;

Under 16 and over 16, long and short courses
Bring your own snow shoes.

Build Snow sculptures in the big field, to be judged at 1:30 pm.

We will have a bucket of coal and other decorations. Judging will be on creativity, originality, and sculpture personality!

Skating pond will be open for family fun (if the ice is safe)

After the cardboard races, general sledding will resume on the hill!

Star 97.7 will be broadcasting live while Wing Dinghas Food Truck will have treats and warm drinks available for purchase.

Let’s get outside and have some fun!

Registration for events begins at 9:30 am in the Gift Shop!  Please leave your dogs at home.

A welcome table and registration check-in will start at 9:30 am.

In the event of no snow, this event will be rescheduled for the 26.  Please leave your pets at home.
