Ellsworth – Contractor Rob Shea of E.L. Shea will begin fencing off the main parking lot to create a construction staging area on June 6 with groundworks beginning Monday, June 13. The plan is still to have the barn structure enclosed by year-end and tentatively open in late summer 2023.
Temporary parking has been added to the south driveway, in front of the croquet parking lot. Woodlawn asks all visitors to drive slowly and carefully as they share the area with construction vehicles and limited parking spots.
All visitors and guests will be directed to this temporary parking area and only construction traffic will be allowed up past the office building. An alternate trailhead has been created and is signposted from this parking area, over a short bridge and up past the Black Tomb to join the trail network.
