ELLSWORTH: Woodlawn is pleased to announce that Seal Cove Auto Museum will host Woodlawn’s Spring Innovation Field Days for 7th and 8th graders, June 4-5, 2019. The auto museum generously agreed to host this year’s program, which will allow this diverse educational experience to continue while Woodlawn makes improvements to its property.
Innovation Field Days will teach students about the process of invention, the MDI auto wars, frontiers of cancer research, the future of commercial fishing, innovation in the logging industry and historic innovation in home design. Additional program partners include The Jackson Laboratory, Maine Center for Coastal Fisheries, and Maine Forest & Logging Museum.
Woodlawn’s Executive Director, Joshua Campbell Torrance said, “Woodlawn is excited for students and teachers to experience field days from a new perspective. Seal Cove Auto Museum and its world-class collection will offer an inspiring setting this year and we look forward to the program’s return to Woodlawn in 2020.”
